The penultimate day takes you toward the coast, walking through forest and field on your way to Fenwick.

Wooler is the largest town in the Cheviot Hills area and was founded in the 12th century but has been a market town since the 13th century and today still has one of the most important livestock markets in northeast England. As you follow today's walk,  enjoy the pleasant mix of farmland and forest and pass through Weetwood Moor, part of which lies between the nearby hills and the coastal plain. Crossing Weetwood Bridge and near the 18th century Weetwood Hall, continue on to Fenwick.

This was a very difficult walk due to the weather and the amount of water on the trail. We got lost twice and had some difficulty with the signage. Therefore we were 9 hours on the walk and the pick up at Fenwick was not easy- we could not have known when we would be in Fenwick to organise a pick up. Lindisfarne Inn contacted a taxi company on our behalf because we had very little battery on our phone. The plantation and photo of same in the rucksack guide needs updating the plantation is now well established.
