The roads in Campbeltown have pavements so please use these whenever you can.

Points of Interest
The end point of the route, the Campbeltown Cross, has been dated to the 1380s and is decorated with detailed medieval carvings of Celtic origin. The cross was once locate at a religious site in nearby Kilkivan before it was relocated post-Reformation to Campbeltown.
Glen Scotia Distillery
On your way into Campbeltown centre you'll pass Glen Scotia distillery. Check out their website and book a tour if you think you'll have time to sop in enroute. The Campbeltown area has been a site of distilling since 1636, from here the tradition developed in complexity and grew with many illicit distilling operations on the Kintyre Peninsula throughout the 18th and 19th centuraries.
Another of Campbeltown's distilleries Springbank distillery is also located in the heart of the town. Owned and run by the Mitchell family for 5 generations the family moved here to the area in the 1660s and began distilling shortly after. Food & Drink
There is nowhere to refuel with food or water between Loch Lussa and Campbeltown so you'll need to bring plenty of food and water for the walk. There are lots of places in Campbeltown where you'll find food: shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants.
This is straight-forward section of the road after the longer stretch before Loch Lussa. If you're comfortable in good walking shoes these will likely you serve you better than stiff walking boots here. Make sure to bring the ususal waterproofs, warm layers and sun protection along with plenty of food and water for the walk.
