Lizard to Coverack
A varied section including beach walks, some ascents, and views back to Lizard Head Lighthouse. You'll also pass the ruins of a serpentine rock factory enroute to Coverack.
The Lizard is sometimes referred to as “Cornwall’s Big Toe” dipping into the ocean. Its an impressive area where sub-tropical conditions allow rare species of plants to grow. The first few miles walk to Cadgwith Cove is a very popular section with its fantastic views back to the lighthouse.
Reach Kannack Sands which is a great area to dip your feet with rock pools where you can see sea cucumbers and starfish. Head up along the cliff top of Black Head Point and then take the path along to the little harbour village of Coverage.

Consignes de sécurité
It should be said that the South West Coast Path is made up of largely coastal and cliffside walking and is not suitable for anyone suffering from vertigo or fear of heights. Take your time and great care when walking along the smaller cliff-side edged paths and be extra vigilant when walking in the rain or strong winds. Since the weather often changes rapidly in these areas, it can be difficult to predict so always check the weather ahead of time and be prepared.
At some sections on the trail you may have to pass other walkers on these cliffside paths - take your time, take great care and attention and pass safely.
