Portgate to Chollerford
Corbridge is located approximately 4.5 km south of the wall - you can either walk or catch a taxi to Portgate to start your walk.
After Portgate climb to the highpoint of Whittington Fell 268 m and continue to follow the military road down to Brunton, then the Wall, and Chollerford, which is home to a lovely bridge and the extensive Chesters Fort. You will either be staying in Chollerford or Humshaugh where you can get a great local ale and hearty food.
