A pleasant walk along the wall from Gilsland to Newtown.

From Gilsland the path follows a section of consolidated wall to Birdoswald, where it continues up the hill to Banks and through farmland to Newtown. An easy-going section of walking after the rigours of the past few sections.

There is limited accommodation in Newtown so often overnight accommodated is in the neighbouring town of Brampton.
