A worthwhile spur from Ballindalloch to the remote village of Tomintoul via Glenlivet Distillery.

On this spur the trail ventures into the wild places of the Cairngorms and gives you a real insight into the reality of life in a small highland village. Pass by Glenlivet Distillery, and them onto Tomintoul, said to be the highest village in Scotland.  

The following morning you will be transferred back to Ballindalloch to continue your walk along the main route of the Speyside Way.
