From Pettycur Bay in Kinghorn you follow the path up to Kircaldy through areas of volcanic activity from over 300 million years ago.
On this short section of the Fife Coastal Path, you can see limestone containing marine fossils as well as basking seals on the rocks if you are lucky. Enjoy a stretch of beach walking before you join the road for a short bit into Kirkcaldy, nicknamed Lang Toun for its historically long main street.
