Strathblane to Kilsyth
Kirkintilloch’s historic town centre is the ideal stop for elevenses, before joining the classic Forth and Clyde Canal to stroll along the flat canal path. Head up and over the 2,000 year-old Antonine Wall on a steeper path to find a Roman Fort at Bar Hill. Finally arrive at Auchinstarry Marina where you can enjoy great British 'pub grub and replenish your energy.
If you aren't overnighting at the marina then continue straight on at the roundabout to continue on the B802 (Howe Road) and follow it until the T-junction with the main road, A803 (Glasgow Road), that passes through Kilsyth.
