There are many route options today - please see your guidebook and info pack and guidebook for details.  The route outlined here is just one of the suggested routes.

This route takes you beneath the Tofana des Rozes and on the narrow pass traversing the slopes of the Tofana des Rozes to arrive at Rifugio Dibona (an ideal lunch stop, 2037 m). From Rifugio Dibona you can continue to Rifugio Pomedes where you take a chairlift to Rifugio Duca d’Aosta, then a further chairlift to Rist. Pietofana. From Rist. Pietofana follows the path down to Rif. Col Druse, which has a funicular down to Cortina.

Safety information

Today you may be walking past a few different areas where cows graze. Although generally very docile and used to walkers, keep your distance and never turn your back on a cow that is behaving strangely or aggressive. Be particularly vigilant around cows with calves.

Watch the short-term local weather forecasts. Avoid high-altitude hiking when the weather is bad. There are plenty of trails in the valleys, that allow you to reach a village quickly if bad weather sets in.
