As today’s walk is only 10 miles, you might like to spend more time this morning wandering the narrow streets of Edinburgh's historic city centre before setting off towards Prestonpans. Head towards Musselburgh where you’ll reach the coast once more. The Musselburgh Ash Lagoons and sandy beaches provide the ideal feeding ground for visiting birds, including Redshanks, Dunlin and Eider Ducks.
