An easy-going 8 km of road walking along a country road on the Kintyre peninsula connecting Campbeltown centre with Machrihanish.

Follow this part of the since re-routed Kintyre Way between Campbeltown and Machrihanish.

Today you can either follow the B843 road from Campbeltown's centre to Machrihanish, or skip the Loch Lussa to Campbeltown section of the Kintyre Way and instead walk the scenic coastal route from Campbeltown to Southend (~25 km). Take care of vehichles on the road and walk on the right-hand side where possible into oncoming traffic so you are more visible. Take to the verge to give way when neccessary.

From Southend catch the bus to the B843 and change bus to take you onto Machrihanish or alternatively we may have arranged a taxi transfer to your Machrihanish accommodation. Please call the office to confirm the details.
