Points of Interest

Columbia Icefield Discovery Center

This is the hub of all information and activities for the Icefields Parkway and Athabasca Glacier. Stop by to learn more about the area, grab a bite and learn more about taking a bus ride out onto the Glacier.

Glacier Skywalk

You may have seen photos of this iconic bridge suspended over the valley below. Made completely of glass and positioned at the perfect angle, it's the perfect place to take some pictures. Tickets to walk on the bridge can be purchased locally.

Athabasca Falls

This is a quick stop to see cascading falls from the Athabasca River.

Food & Drink

Columbia Icefield Discovery Center

There are food options in the Discovery Center and if you're lucky you may even get a table with a view of the glaciers across the valley.

Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge

Order at the counter cafe for a perfect place to stop for a cup of coffee, snack bar or afternoon pastry. There's plenty of seating and a gift shop in the same area.

Jasper Brewing Company - Jasper

At about six in the evening, the crowds start gathering here as tourists and locals alike wait for a table. The food is delicious and the beers are even better! Get here early for a picnic table outside.

Syrahs of Jasper - Jasper

This wine bar also serves up great Canadian fare fresh from the area.

Robinsons AG Foods - Jasper

There are a few Grocery stores in Jasper but this one is the biggest and has the most variety. It's a little off the beaten path but worth the extra few blocks walk to get what you need.
