Points of Interest

Luge Canada

As you drive through the sprawl of Calgary, look to the hillside to see the glimmering luge chutes swerving down the mountain. These were used during the 1988 winter Olympics.

Canmore

A larger version of Banff, this mountain town rests at the edge of Banff National Park and is a good stop for bathrooms, groceries or lunch en route. The town is known for its extensive Nordic skiing trails and access to outdoor recreation.

Food & Drink

The Range - In Canmore

This casual sandwich shop uses fresh ingredients to whip up delicious artisanal sandwiches.

514 Poutine - Just before Canmore

If Poutine has been on your wishlist for Canada, consider stopping at this restaurant right before you reach Canmore for over-the-counter dishes of this Canadian classic.

Bear Street Tavern - Banff
Deluxe pizzas and salads served with signature honey sauce in a cozy environment. There's an outdoor patio with plenty of space to relax.

Park Distillery - Banff
This local distillery boasts some of the best cocktails in town - with food to match!

Banff Ave. Brewery - Banff
You can never go wrong with a local brewery and if you arrive at the right time, you may be able to snag a seat on the balcony overlooking Banff Ave. The perfect place for great brews and people watching.
