An easy ride through Lopez Village, ending up at the Lopez Ferry Terminal.
Start off the day with a coffee in Lopez Village before heading out on a short ride back to the ferry terminal. Country roads, expansive farms, and great views are your backdrop for this quick but great ride.
You'll be meeting your luggage at the ferry terminal so make sure to keep a steady pace. That said, your transfer driver tracks the ferry location and will be there with your bags with plenty of time to spare. There will be food and drink available for purchase on the ferry but there are a few places in Lopez Village to stock up before you head out. Blossom's Grocery and Lopez Village Market are great spots to get your provisions for the day.
You'll be on one of the main roads once again. Stay close to the shoulder and be conscious of traffic. Cars tend to go slow and give bikers plenty of space.
Before starting your ride it’s always worth inspecting your bike for any damage. Check for any damage to the frame, components or wheels. Ensure there are no loose cables and that the tires are inflated and the brakes are working. Always wear a helmet when biking. If you are doubtful of the condition of your rental bike please call the office or the local bike shop on the number provided in your information pack. We also recommend keeping your bike light on and set to flash, even during daylight.
Always be prepared to bike through a change of weather conditions and do check for any local weather warnings before cycling. Good shoes, a windbreaker-type layer, sunscreen, and sunglasses are ideal items for a sunny day. If you happen to have rainy weather, waterproof pants and a jacket are a must.
Most cyclists wear [fingerless] bike gloves for some padding on the handlebars. Don't forget a spare battery pack for an emergency charge of any navigation unit you may decide to use.

Food and Drink
Lopez Village will be your only options for food and drink until you board the ferry, so make sure to stock up on any necessary provisions before you head out on the morning ride. Vortex cafe (across from the Edenwild Inn) has great smoothies and pastries. There are also two local grocery stores that have plenty of options, Blossom Grocery and Lopez Village market and are just a few blocks away from town center.
