A 16th Century former coaching inn, situated on the cobbled street in the market town of Hawes. They offer relaxed dining with quality home-cooked food, comfortable guest rooms, and a traditional bar with open fire - they also have a cracking tradtional Cellar that's worth a look!

White Hart offers a mix of local favourites and guest cask ales throughout the year. They always strive to keep these to the highest possible standards for your enjoyment. Expect local Ales such as Theakston, Wensleydale Brewery, Black Sheep, Rudgate Brewery, Yorkshire Dales Brewery, Pennine Brewing Company, Settle Brewery to be on rotation.

Opening hours

Opening hours vary year on year and can be seasonal. Pubs may only open on certain days of the week and only for a couple of hours.

Pubs in Yorkshire (especially in small villages) are known to close if they are especially quiet in the afternoons or late in the evening - it's always worth calling ahead and let them know you plan to visit in the afternoon or to simply check they will be open to avoid disappointment on arrival.

COVID19 – The impact of the global pandemic is evident for all local businesses over Yorkshire and the rest of the UK. Sadly, some pubs/hotels/restaurants/museums may have closed doors for good, some may be temporarily closed, and some may be open but will be operating under local guidance/restrictions from the UK government.

Depending on the dates you are walking, this may effect their normal operating hours, the number of people allowed in their property, the ability to serve customers indoors or outdoors, and in pubs it may even not be possible to serve alcohol at certain times of the day. To avoid disappointment, we recommend you check any pubs/cafe's/museums/tearooms/restaurants own website, social media or give them a call in advance of your visit. (were known we have given you the website and telephone number).
