The Buck at Reeth was originally a Coaching Inn dating back to around 1760, situated at the bustling centre of the village where a toll was charged to passing travelers. Now, it's generally famed for being the best place to get a bite to eat when in Reeth and we recommend you visit here for your evening meal.
There are still many beautiful original features at The Buck Hotel, which can be seen today. The main bar has an aged beamed ceiling adorned with an interesting array of horse brass and weird door knockers dating back some hundreds of years with a living fire the focal point at the centre of the main bar, perfect for sipping on an ice-cold beer.
During the summer months, there is seating in the sun to the front with a wonderful view of Reeth market square and the rolling hills of Swaledale. Also as final tip, ask the Owners also about the Secret Walled Garden!

Opening hours
Opening hours vary year on year and can be seasonal. Pubs may only open on certain days of the week and only for a couple of hours.
Pubs in Yorkshire (especially in small villages) are known to close if they are especially quiet in the afternoons or late in the evening - it's always worth calling ahead and let them know you plan to visit in the afternoon or to simply check they will be open to avoid disappointment on arrival.
