At 15.4 km, directions state: “carry straight on through the vegetation, descending steeply.” They are NOT kidding! It was steep and difficult to negotiate with wet, slippery terrain. This section felt dangerous and one of our party was injured here. Another was holding on to the fence at times to not fall. Be careful and use poles. Overall, although steep at times and parts of the route not well-travelled, other parts of the trail were fine. Using the GPS map on our iPhone was amazingly helpful and well worth the investment.
