You will cross a number of fields on which livestock graze(including cows, sheep and horses), always close gates when you’ve entered and exited the field.
Give the animals space when you walk past them and do not attempt to pet or feed them. Keep an eye out for diversion signs (especially around fields which have cows with calves or bulls grazing on them). Do not attempt to cross fields where such diversions are in place. Follow the diversion until you re-join the normal path.
