Absorb the sights and sounds as you walk from Luz to Salema via Burgau, a quiet typical seaside village with a golden beach enclosed by cliffs.
As you walk along the coast today you will come across many small fishing villages and crumbling fortresses. Stop along the way and absorb the sights and sounds. See the incredible variety of seabirds' en route, stop in a local café and sample some fresh fish while overlooking the paradise beaches.
Salema has a wide range of restaurants, so this evening you can wander through the streets of this small village and pick where you would like to eat. Each restaurant will feature freshly caught fish of the day, such as sardines, mackerel, or sea bream.

If there are any stretches of road walking and if there is no pavement or grass verge, please take extra care. The general rule is that you walk on the same side of the road as oncoming traffic, in order to avoid having your back directly to oncoming traffic. Be prepared to walk in single file and to stay as close to the side of the road as possible.
There may be sections where you will be walking through fields containing livestock. Be vigilant and respectful of all animals.
Always make sure to stay hydrated and carry plenty of water. It is also advised to wear skin-protecting clothing and use sun cream/screen. We recommend you inquire about the day’s forecasted weather before setting out on your walks.
