Chipping Campden to Stanton*

We are reasonably fit, aged 67 and 61 and walk quite a lot. The most we want to walk in a day is about 16 miles, but prefer walks up to 12 miles. We found walking from Chipping Camden to Stanton was straight forward, the path very well marked. It rained all day, visibility on the high ground was 100 yards, so no views of 'three counties' from Broadway tower. You need to be reasonably fit to do the walk and enjoy it as there are a few steepish climbs, but also of course equally steepish descents. The Mac's app is very good and we photographed the maps in the guide book they provided for back up, but did not need them. We also use the Strava app to record distance purely for our own interest. Our accomodation at The Bantam Tearoom in Chipping Camden was nice, stylish quiet room, excellent breakfast, v friendly staff. CC is a very nice town, much less pretentious than Broadway or Stanton which are also lovely architecturally but too immaculate in our opinion. Having said that, the Lygon Arms, our hotel in Broadway is very comfortable which is important after a days vigorous exercise.
