Chipping Campden to Moreton-in-Marsh

 *** To help you follow the route with confidence we have provided full written turn-by-turns to aid you on your walk from Chipping Campden to Moreton-in-Marsh. Whilst, the Cotswolds are waymarked (it is normally for the Cotswold Way, but local towns and villages are usually also signposted). At sections, the trail can be featureless and off the beaten path so we strongly suggest that you follow the GPS tracks in the Macs Adventure smartphone app to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable and problem-free day.  The daily maps can also be printed from the web version of the app should you wish to take paper copies with you. ***

0.00 km - At the Noel Arms Hotel, there is a path that runs under/through the hotel itself, pass through the car park and head STRAIGHT ON ascending the hill

0.10 km - Head STRAIGHT ON passing Lady Juliana View to your left and Pear Tree Close to your right

0.50 km - STRAIGHT ON with tennis courts to right

0.60 km - STRAIGHT ON ignoring the right turn

0.70 km - BEAR LEFT on to the main road, being careful of traffic, continue on this road for almost one kilometre

1.50 km - Just before you reach the Bakers Arms in Broad Campden TURN RIGHT through a wooden gate, joining an ascending bridleway

1.90 km - The path is wide and clear, continue STRAIGHT ON

2.80 km - You will reach a hedge at the end of the field, TURN LEFT signposted Public Footpath, following the hedge as the path descends

3.30 km - At the bottom of the field, pass through the wooden gate and TURN RIGHT, circling a small pond on the left and passing a farmhouse on the right

3.40 km - Pass through the wooden gate, ascending steps and then TURN LEFT onto a dirt vehicle track

3.80 km - BEAR LEFT onto a track road, ignore the right turns

4.40 km - The track bears left, ignore this and continue STRAIGHT ON joining a small path that descends

4.70 km - Continue STRAIGHT ON at the bottom of the field through a small tree plantation, then BEAR RIGHT and immediately BEAR LEFT to descend through a field way marked for the Heart of England Way

5.00 km - Pass across a wooden bridge at the bottom of the field, BEAR RIGHT ascending up the hill ignoring the track that leads to your right, as the ground levels out head for the top right of the field

5.40 km - Cross the fence using the step provided when you reach the top corner of the field and continue STRAIGHT ON

5.80 km - At the bottom of this field, cross the fence using the step provided and join a small lane that leads into the village, immediately TURN LEFT descending with the road

5.90 km - TURN RIGHT at the T-Junction

6.10 km - BEAR LEFT after passing the small park on your left, entering the churchyard keep the church to your right

6.20 km - As you leave the churchyard, BEAR RIGHT descending to join Lower Street, TURN RIGHT heading out of the village

6.40 km - TURN LEFT onto the footpath, ignoring the sign for Quiet Lanes Walk, and follow the signs for the Heart of England Way

6.50 km - Pass over the fence, BEAR LEFT through the field with the stream to your left

6.60 km - At the end of the field, cross the fence and BEAR RIGHT ascending through the next field, passing a duck pond to your right

6.80 km - Pass through the gate and continue STRAIGHT ON, be careful for the cows in the field

7.30 km - At the top of the hill TURN LEFT sharply down a small path that winds through the trees

7.40 km - Pass through the wooden gate and then TURN RIGHT immediately through a second gate following the path along the edge of the field

7.90 km - Pass through a metal gate and BEAR LEFT joining a dirt track, immediately cross the tarmac road and continue on the same path on the other side of the road

8.40 km - Continue STRAIGHT ON with the wall to your left

8.80 km - BEAR RIGHT off the track and into the field over a wooden step on the fence, continue STRAIGHT ON through the field

9.00 km - Pass through a wooden gate, BEAR RIGHT as you cross the road and then immediately BEAR LEFT through a gate and continue STRAIGHT ON across the next field

9.30 km - Pass through multiple wooden gates as you go field to field continuing STRAIGHT ON

10.80 km - Pass through the wooden gate at the bottom of the field and BEAR LEFT through a second wooden gate then BEAR LEFT across the field on the dirt path

11.10 km - Pass through a small metal gate and walk down the narrow path with the vegetable garden of the parish council to your left

11.30 km - Cross Hospital Road STRAIGHT ON to Corders Lane

11.50 km - TURN RIGHT onto the High Street, you have finished the days walk
